This mini park renovation includes a reset of the basketball area. Along with minor asphalt repairs the surface is checked for low points where water can potentially pool and those low areas are set to level using additional applications of cement to make as smooth a surface as possible and to prevent possible sinking. Next, new backboards are attached using bolted mounts in new cement footings for added durability. Lastly the game court is sealcoated to waterproof the entire area.
Once the sealcoat has set, the courts are painted with a weather resistant coat of slip proof paint specifically designed for this application. Next comes the recalibration of the game play markings across the entire court, with accent colors also added.
